A window overlooking the sea
The hotel is located in the enchanted promontory, where the famous David Herbert Lawrence, author of “Lady Chatterley’s Lover”, stayed with his beloved companion Frida, in the early ‘900. The bay of the Locanda, called “Spiaggia della Balena”, closes with the house hidden among the pines of the rocks of Trigliano, where the writer Mario Soldati lived. Immediately behind the Locanda there is another small bay, called Lawrence Bay.
A magical place, an extraordinary experience
Fiascherino is halfway between Lerici and Tellaro, two small and ancient fishing villages, always visited in the years by artists, poets and writers. The Park of MonteMarcello, behind Fiascherino, is a reserve of oxygen, very healthy: there are no companies, workshops, craftsmen but only small accommodation businesses, houses and especially trees and Mediterranean fragrances. In the woods behind Fiascherino a small gorge is the home of falcons and buzzards, which sometimes are seen circling above gulls and cormorants. Between woods and sea, with the Serra village near Lerici on the highest crest, the ruins of Barbazzano between the green paths and in the sea background the bell tower of Tellaro, Portovenere, Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto island, Fiascherino involves and excites like few other locations.
